MAGGIE'S CLUB

MAGGIE'S CLUB is a 1980s themed boutique members nightclub in the heart of Chelsea, named after Prime-Minister-turned-icon Maggie Thatcher who was in power throughout this ten year period.

Club-goers at MAGGIE'S CLUB can hear her famous speeches playing in the loos at MAGGIE,S CLUB, while Thatcher memorabilia vies for space on the walls along with other iconic 80s images and paraphernalia.

The resident Maggies DJ plays a fantastic range of classic 80s music from this vibrant decade as bar tenders dressed like Tom Cruise in the cult movie Top Gun, serve up a range of drinks from Pina Coladas and Daiquiris to the unforgettable Babycham. The waitresses, meanwhile, are dressed in neon leggings and permed wigs and serve guests sat at giant rubik’s cube tables.

A bottle of vintage Champagne signed by the Thatcher herself (with letter of authenticity) is the centrepiece of the diverse Maggie’s Club menu – which is depicted through classic 1980s view masters.

THE BOX SOHO GUESTLIST

Guestlist and Table Bookings

The Box Guestlist

Making a name as “Britain’s seediest VIP club”, everyone knows The Box. With it’s very erotic burlesque and cabaret shows, you might not expect it to be a high-end place. But fact is that this is where the UK’s celebrities and royals go for a wild and saucy night out and with table prices starting at £ 1000-3000, it is definitely one of the more high-end clubs London has to offer. Obviously it’s not for everyone, but don’t be fooled too easily as this place offers more than some on-stage action: a gorgeous venue, beautiful guests and a crazy party await you. Joining the Box guest list will surely be a night to remember!

The Box is officially one of the most exclusive clubs to get into in London. Inside photography is banned and if you are lucky enough to make it inside then you are in for a shocking experience where anything goes.

The Box club in Soho, London is a boutique club known for it's outrageous risque performances. It was opened after the success of it's sister venue in New York, also called The Box. Celebrities seen on the Box guest list include Lady Gaga and Kiera Knightley. It is one of the hardest clubs in London to enter.

The Box is a beautiful old theater restored as a nightclub. It is set in the depths of Soho’s red light district and with deep red velvet, hazy mirrors and dark wooden balconies it perfectly sets the scene for a little erotica. It is spread across two floors and once you’ve entered through the big black doors, you’ll find yourself in a mysterious surrounding with dim candlelight and wallpapers painted with fornicating cherubs. Around the stage you’ll find different areas, booths and lots of space to sit, eat, drink and dance – and surely you’d want a good view of the stage, right? Don’t worry, there are different levels so that no one has to miss the sexy performances!

Even though some people wouldn’t even think of visiting this place, it seems to be one of the most popular clubs among the VIPs and royals like Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice have partied here along with celebrities like Jude Law, Cara Delevingne, Harry Styles and Rihanna. And these are only a few. Generally The Box serves to a young, wealthy and sexually open crowd and even though the stage show will get pretty dirty, your clothes definitely shouldn’t be. Designer dresses and sharp suits are in order because the door staff is super strict with who they let into this promiscuous paradise…

So if you’re planning to arrive with a bigger group, we’d advise you to book a table in advance. The concept sounds a bit random – while beautifully dressed people sip on their drinks, the performers are putting on some kinky acts – but it works, trust us: The Box is worth a visit.

The music at The Box – whenever there is no show on – is rather commercial with House, RnB, Hip Hop and Chart music playing, while London’s elite gets their moves on.

With a couple of large bars, there is no need to worry about your drinks either. Popular among the wealthy guests are champagne and vodka bottles but you can just as well get a glass of wine or choose from a selection of their dirty sounding cocktails here. Once you’ve got your drinks, get ready for the “controversial cast of frisky Friday freaks that will leave you both horrified and thoroughly entertained!”

The Box’s decor and style is largely based on its sister club in Manhattan, New York and we think it helps giving it a special mystical aura to the club.

If dark entertainment offends you then we suggest stay at home or visit one of the less "out there" clubs which will be happy to accommodate you.

The Box Soho is officially the place to see and to "be Seen" and getting into the box means that you have officially made it onto the A-list club scene as the club do not operate a guestlist so it is simply pot luck if the door picker decides to let you in. This policy makes the intrigue of The Box Soho all the more exciting.

The Box Soho which came into the scene from the former gay nightspot of the Soho Revue Bar has undergone a multi million pound refurb which has completely transformed the site making is unrecognisable from its previous tenant.

The mysteriousness of the box Soho is what makes The Box Soho seem so exclusive. There is no red carpet outside The Box Soho, no neon lights, simply a large door that separates you from the hedonistic no holds barred clubbing experience within.

The Box Soho is situated at the former site of the famous Soho Revue bar, the place has undergone a massive multi million pound transformation to turn it into the place to be seen. From the outside the club looks exclusive. a large door which is closed make the mysteriousness of The Box Soho all the more appealing. The friendly bouncers at the door have a smile on their face as you will have once you make it past them and an air of anticipation hits you as you approach the door at The Box Soho

As soon as you walk in you can hear the muffling’s of the entertainment at The Box Soho which happens on the hour every hour at The Box soho can be heard down the staircase which leads you to the main room. don’t be surprised if you see the odd celebrity walking around and plenty of bottles flying out to all the tables which are set up like theatre tables around the venue facing the stage to watch the entertainment.

Entertainment can be  anything from a male porn star simulating sex on stage and twisting his genitals into all sort of positions whilst throwing out fake bags of cocaine to the crowd. This gives you an idea of what to expect at The Box Soho

The Box Soho is not a cheap club, when the box fist launched they charge gents £150 entry fee just to get in and ladies £50 on the Box guest list. no there is no entry fee however you must look the part or no somebody to get in that is your only way!

Alternatively you can book a table which start at around the £1000 mark going up to around £3000 in the VIP

The Box Entry Fee

The Box entry fees start at £20 although complimentary guestlist entry is sometimes permitted depending on the night. Table bookings are strongly recommended.

The Box Table Prices

Raffles Nightclub

Raffles was founded in 1967 by restaurateur Peter Evens and was named after Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. As soon as it opened it cemented its place in London’s Nightlife, becoming a favorite of the royals such as Princess Margaret, Princess Anne and Prince Charles. However more recently with tough competition it lost its edge, that is until now.

Located in a Chelsea townhouse on the Kings Road, Raffles offers a small and intimate clubbing experience. The staff are also friendly and if you would like table service then ex Maitre D of Tramps in St James, Emilio De Niro will take care of your every request. Tod Russell-Welply, ex Public nightclub promoter and now head of Marketing at Raffles ensures members and guests receive a warm welcome at the door.

At the bar they seem to know what they are doing, with a signature Raffles cocktail list (we recommend the Crackbaby). The prices are a little higher than their competitors, however taking into account the great service, we think this is more than fair.

The décor of the club is quite dark, however there is a retro light up dance floor which looks great and the recently refurbished entrance that features a bookcase with hundreds of copies of “Who’s Who” to show it’s history.

Raffles has been around along time and with the new ownership and management we think raffles is not so much a club, but an institution that everyone should go to once in their lives.
