Hawksmoor Bar

Hawksmoor Bar procured what was formerly a nightclub underneath their restaurant and transformed it into their hippest drinking proposition thus far. Alongside their critical darling ‘History of the Cocktail’ libations, craft beer and winsome wines, they’ll be serving  bar food that defies expectations. Beef (obviously) will feature heartily on the menu, with dishes popularised at their other installations like Short-Rib French Dip and kim chi burger making welcome appearances. However, they’ll also have many North American offerings available: poutine, fried oyster roll, lobster rolls, etc. The Hawksmoor empire seems to have the Midas touch because their hamburgers are pure gold.

We travelled the world, from steakhouse to steakhouse, searching for the perfect steak, but discovered that beef from traditional breeds reared the old fashioned way right here in Britain and cooked simply over real charcoal, packed more flavour than anything we tried on our travels.

Although we’ve had plenty of ‘best steak in London’ plaudits we’re not resting on our laurels. We want you to have a fantastic meal and most of all to enjoy yourselves while you are with us.

We try to do things the right way at Hawksmoor Bar, not because it’s trendy and cool
(we sourced British meat before it was trendy) or because we’re natural tree-huggers or hippy peaceniks.  We do it because we want to – it’s the kind of company we want to be and the kind of restaurants we want to run.  We want a business we can be proud of – whether that’s making sure the food we serve is as good as possible, that the animals the food comes from lived a decent life, or that everyone who works with us enjoys what they do.

Two achievements we’re particularly proud of are our three star Sunday Times Best Companies 2012 Award (which saw us named the 36th best small company in the UK to work for!)  and our two star Sustainable Restaurant Association award (in both cases think Michelin stars – 1 star = great, 2 stars = exceptional, 3 stars = mind-blowing).
