For a dose of glamour and glitz in the East End, McQueen is firing on all cylinders. Owner Dezzi McCausland of the Kingly Club has ensured that his venue would have done Steve McQueen proud - he envisioned and executed a design scheme employing sexy, sumptuous brown leather that channels the sophisticated splendour of bygone Hollywood eras while exposed brickwork and varnished softwood honour the achingly trendy Shoreditch aesthetic.
It’s a massive venue that encompasses a restaurant, lounge bar and club that all have their own character while remaining part of a unified whole. The scene complements the venue nicely – expect a good-looking and hip crowd punctuated by burlesque performers, bargirls doling out shots from leather holster bottles, and bartenders on the top of their game. Cocktails skew to the traditional, with vintage cocktails like the Martinez executed par excellence. McQueen values inclusivity above exclusivity, pay it a visit and they’ll make you feel right at home!
