Brunello is a concept restaurant residing in the plush Baglioni hotel near Kensington Gardens. They offer the discerning diner a reworking of Mediterranean cuisine. The design skews toward the luxurious with grey and gold velvet permeating the dining room, Murano candelabras and an immense fireplace. There are over 500 selections on the wine list which beautifully complement their pasta, meat and fish dishes. Brunello executes Italian classics brilliantly and will tantalise your tastebuds with dishes like burrata served with Sicilian caponata, baked skate wings with Jerusalem artichoke mash and Taggiasca olives or braised ox cheeks with potato gnocchi and red onion capote. It’s amore!
Located on the ground floor of the Baglioni Hotel, this stunning restaurant overlooks Kensington Gardens. The set lunch menu, served from 12 noon until 3.00pm, is a real bargain at £24 for three courses. We started with baked eggplant in a hearty marinara sauce and a generous portion of crab and avocado salad. For our main courses we had cheese and spinach ravioli in a sage-infused butter sauce and a perfectly cooked ribeye steak served with chips and a side salad. We finished with tirimisu and a chocolate tart. Every morsel was delectable and the service was impeccable.
