THE EARL DERBY Galloping into Kilburn
The Earl Derby is an historic pub in Kilburn that is relaunching under its original name next week Thursday. It is taking exceptional pride in its status as ‘a proper pub’ serving honest food and drink on the bustling thoroughfare of Kilburn High Road.
The 200-cover venue will be decked out in elegant tones of navy and grey, with reclaimed timber flooring, exposed brickwork and rustic oak panelling. Curved Chesterfield-style sofas, distressed tables, hanging pendant lamps and vintage chandeliers will complete the look.
We hear that a lot of pride has also been taken with the drinks list: there’s a large range of draught beers such as Meantime Yakima Red and Camden Brewery Hells Lager alongside local cask ales, and quality ciders including Addlestones and Aspall. Punters can expect an interesting wine list too plus great Bloody Marys, artisan spirits and homemade soft drinks.
The food menu features classic yet creative pub dishes freshly prepared. We’re talking Beef Brisket & Beetroot Hash with Fried Egg; Salt & Pepper Squid with Lime Mayonnaise; Cider & Tarragon Battered Cod & Skin-On-Chips; Pork & Chorizo Burger with Caramelised Red Onion & Fries; Chicken, Ham Hock & Leek Pie. Lemon & Lime Crumble Tart with Raspberry Sorbet for dessert? Yes please!
The Earl also promises a tempting Saturday brunch, fabulous Sunday roasts, interesting bar snacks and sandwiches for lunching locals. What’s not to like?
