Sketch My Wardrobe

Mayfair’s quirky-hip Michelin-starred eatery Sketch will be holding a series of luncheons in partnership with online retailer my-wardrobe.com. On Tuesdays through Fridays from 16th September to 5th October sketch will be holding the ultimate fashion lunch, ‘my-Gourmet Rapide’, so fashionistas jetting between shows will have the perfect time to fuel their engines with haute-cuisine delicacies. The three course lunch in the Michelin-starred Lecture Room will include a complimentary glass of champagne and a my-Wardrobe.com goody bag with a £50 voucher for the website. All of this for £60! Additionally, in keeping with the Fashion Week theme, they have created three stunning new macaroons to reflect the Spring/Summer 2012 trends – this includes probably the first ever gingham macaroon.

After 10 trailblazing years at the forefront of London restaurant design, style and cuisine Sketch has been undergoing a complete metamorphosis to coincide with its decade-nt anniversary. Owner Mourad Mazouz has taken the bold step of enlisting Turner prize winning artist Martin Creed to redesign the ground floor. Transforming the Gallery restaurant from the one you know, into a piece of art. Everything in the room, from glasses, to cutlery and chairs is mismatched with no one piece appearing twice… sounds odd but really works and the main gallery now feels like an intriguing, much warmer space. The new Glade Bar has been redesigned by Mourad himself with the assistance of Carolyn Quartermaine and Didier Mahieuis. It too is absolutely stunning and more in keeping with its name, with the wall to wall multi medium mural of trees creating a woodland escape in which to enjoy some delicious cocktail concoctions.

Acclaimed for his installations, sculpture, music, dance and film, Martin Creed is one of the foremost contemporary artists in the UK today. Best known for his Turner prize winning presentation of Work No. 227, The lights going on and off, he is also behind Work No. 1197, All the bells in a country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes, which will mark the start of the 2012 Olympic season.  3 Michelin Stared culinary genius Pierre Gagnaire, behind all of Sketch’s menus, has created a menu full of dishes that are in tune with Martin's artwork (we would highly recommend the Pork Belly!).  Returning to its roots of blending art and design with food and drink we highly recommend you rediscover this Mayfair classic with a twist.
