Gaucho - All London restaurants
Londoners love Gaucho for its award winning Argentinean steaks, cool cowhide decor and excellent wine list, and now that there are eleven Gaucho restaurants in the London area you’re sure to never be far from some of the best steaks this side of South America! The design of each restaurant differs a little, but still retains the remarkable Gaucho character – and the menu remains the same, which is to say, exquisite. Starters include scallop and lemon sole ceviches and the cool citrus-cooked seafood might be the ideal introduction to the meaty mains. If that doesn’t get you salivating there is fresh seafood cooked in the traditional way and a selection of empanadas with a variety of fillings like chicken or pan-fried squid. If you have a carnivorous streak the mains are sure to satisfy - with classic cuts from the rump to the ribeye as well as sharing platters in which you can sample 1.2kg of cow. Desserts draw from Argentina’s delicacies with delicious dishes like a dulce de leche flan or almedrado with chocolate sauce, and an orange and almost praline. The wine list offers some of the best Argentinean Malbecs and Mendozas available in Europe. With venues spanning the capital, Gaucho is a great choice for any occasion, whether a date or a business dinner and now they even have an outpost in the O2 Arena – and ideal setting to unwind luxuriously pre or post event!

Galvin Bistro Deluxe
Galvin Bistro Deluxe was the first eponymous restaurant of the acclaimed Galvin brothers. Opened on Baker Street in 2005, the restaurant is modelled on the traditional ‘bistrots’ of France and has proved a consistent hit with critics and diners, offering French classics cooked using quality seasonal ingredients, at reasonable prices. The food is just as good as Galvin at Windows – in fact Galvin Bistro Deluxe was voted French Restaurant of the Year at the London Restaurant Awards 2008 as well as receiving a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand 2008. The atmosphere is grown up but not stuffy and with a good buzz. The less formal setting with its elegant wood panelling and crisp table linen is an ideal romantic spot for a ménage a deux.
