Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

Tucked away in a secluded corner of Regent’s Park lies the Open Air Theatre. The verdant setting lends itself perfectly to the summery playlist of fantastic theatre, music and comedy on offer this year. Whilst being one of the largest auditoriums in London, the steeply raked seating manages to make it feel like one of the most intimate. The twinkling lights in the hedgerow complete the summer evening scene of food hampers, bottles of bubbly and hearty theatre goers. But if picnicking is an alfresco step too far for you, there is a delightful Garden Café packed with gorgeous food. The Open Air Theatre is not just about the atmosphere, it is about remarkable storytelling too. Built upon a core of outstanding dramatic credentials, they present bold and dynamic productions and last summer’s season was no exception, with Lord of the Flies, The Beggars Opera, Pericles and Crazy for you all gracing the stage.

Now in its 80th season, the award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is a London landmark – a firm fixture of summer in the city, providing a cultural hub in the beautiful surroundings of a Royal Park.

Its steeply raked auditorium is one of the largest in London with 1,240 seats, yet those who attend say it is one of the most intimate.

Each night an incomparable atmosphere is created by the buzz of people enjoying their theatregoing in every sense: people setting up hampers on the picnic lawn, filling their glasses with wine or drinking Pimms in the bar as the fairy lights twinkle in the trees.

Yet the Open Air Theatre is not just about an amazing atmosphere, it is about remarkable storytelling too. Built upon a core of outstanding dramatic credentials, we aim to present bold and dynamic productions that stimulate the senses. Weather and climate add a thrilling contribution to our work, making the relationship between performer, text and audience a truly unique event at every performance.

MAGGIE'S CLUB

MAGGIE'S CLUB is a 1980s themed boutique members nightclub in the heart of Chelsea, named after Prime-Minister-turned-icon Maggie Thatcher who was in power throughout this ten year period.

Club-goers at MAGGIE'S CLUB can hear her famous speeches playing in the loos at MAGGIE,S CLUB, while Thatcher memorabilia vies for space on the walls along with other iconic 80s images and paraphernalia.

The resident Maggies DJ plays a fantastic range of classic 80s music from this vibrant decade as bar tenders dressed like Tom Cruise in the cult movie Top Gun, serve up a range of drinks from Pina Coladas and Daiquiris to the unforgettable Babycham. The waitresses, meanwhile, are dressed in neon leggings and permed wigs and serve guests sat at giant rubik’s cube tables.

A bottle of vintage Champagne signed by the Thatcher herself (with letter of authenticity) is the centrepiece of the diverse Maggie’s Club menu – which is depicted through classic 1980s view masters.

THE BOX SOHO GUESTLIST

The Box Guestlist and Table Bookings

The Box Guestlist

Making a name as “Britain’s seediest VIP club”, everyone knows The Box guestlist. With it’s very erotic burlesque and cabaret shows, you might not expect it to be a high-end place. But fact is that this is where the UK’s celebrities and royals go, joining The Box guestlist, for a wild and saucy night out and with table prices starting at £ 1000-3000, it is definitely one of the more high-end clubs London has to offer.

Obviously it’s not for everyone, but don’t be fooled too easily as this place offers more than some on-stage action: a gorgeous venue, beautiful guests and a crazy party await you. Joining the Box guestlist will surely be a night to remember!

The Box is officially one of the most exclusive clubs to get into in London. Inside photography is banned and if you are lucky enough to make it inside then you are in for a shocking experience where anything goes.

The Box club in Soho, London is a boutique club known for it's outrageous risque performances. It was opened after the success of it's sister venue in New York, also called The Box. Celebrities seen on the Box guestlist include Lady Gaga and Kiera Knightley. It is one of the hardest clubs in London to enter.

The Box is a beautiful old theater restored as a nightclub. It is set in the depths of Soho’s red light district and with deep red velvet, hazy mirrors and dark wooden balconies it perfectly sets the scene for a little erotica. It is spread across two floors and once you’ve entered through the big black doors, you’ll find yourself in a mysterious surrounding with dim candlelight and wallpapers painted with fornicating cherubs. Around the stage you’ll find different areas, booths and lots of space to sit, eat, drink and dance – and surely you’d want a good view of the stage, right? Don’t worry, there are different levels so that no one has to miss the sexy performances when joining the Box guestlist or booking a Box table!

Even though some people wouldn’t even think of visiting this place, it seems to be one of the most popular clubs among the VIPs and royals like Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice have partied here along with celebrities like Jude Law, Cara Delevingne, Harry Styles and Rihanna. And these are only a few. Generally The Box serves to a young, wealthy and sexually open crowd and even though the stage show will get pretty dirty, your clothes definitely shouldn’t be. Designer dresses and sharp suits are in order because the door staff is super strict with who they let into this promiscuous paradise…

So if you’re planning to arrive with a bigger group, we’d advise you to book a Box table in advance. The concept sounds a bit random – while beautifully dressed people sip on their drinks, the performers are putting on some kinky acts – but it works, trust us: The Box is worth a visit.

The music at The Box – whenever there is no show on – is rather commercial with House, RnB, Hip Hop and Chart music playing, while London’s elite gets their moves on.

With a couple of large bars, there is no need to worry about your drinks either. Popular among the wealthy guests are champagne and vodka bottles but you can just as well get a glass of wine or choose from a selection of their dirty sounding cocktails here. Once you’ve got your drinks, get ready for the “controversial cast of frisky Friday freaks that will leave you both horrified and thoroughly entertained!”

The Box’s decor and style is largely based on its sister club in Manhattan, New York and we think it helps giving it a special mystical aura to the club.

If dark entertainment offends you then we suggest stay at home or visit one of the less "out there" clubs which will be happy to accommodate you.

The Box Soho is officially the place to see and to "be Seen" and getting into the box means that you have officially made it onto the A-list club scene as the club do not operate a guestlist so it is simply pot luck if the door picker decides to let you in. This policy makes the intrigue of The Box Soho all the more exciting.

The Box Soho which came into the scene from the former gay nightspot of the Soho Revue Bar has undergone a multi million pound refurb which has completely transformed the site making is unrecognisable from its previous tenant.

The mysteriousness of the box Soho is what makes The Box Soho seem so exclusive. There is no red carpet outside The Box Soho, no neon lights, simply a large door that separates you from the hedonistic no holds barred clubbing experience within.

The Box Soho is situated at the former site of the famous Soho Revue bar, the place has undergone a massive multi million pound transformation to turn it into the place to be seen. From the outside the club looks exclusive. a large door which is closed make the mysteriousness of The Box Soho all the more appealing. The friendly bouncers at the door have a smile on their face as you will have once you make it past them and an air of anticipation hits you as you approach the door at The Box Soho.

As soon as you walk in you can hear the muffling’s of the entertainment at The Box Soho which happens on the hour every hour at The Box soho can be heard down the staircase which leads you to the main room. Don’t be surprised if you see the odd celebrity walking around on The Box guestlist and plenty of bottles flying out to all the tables which are set up like theatre tables around the venue facing the stage to watch the entertainment.

Entertainment can be anything from a male porn star simulating sex on stage and twisting his genitals into all sort of positions whilst throwing out fake bags of cocaine to the crowd. This gives you an idea of what to expect at The Box Soho.

The Box Soho is not a cheap club, when the box first launched they charge gents £150 entry fee just to get in and ladies £50 on the Box guest list. no there is no entry fee however you must look the part or no somebody to get in that is your only way!

Alternatively you can book a table which start at around the £1000 mark going up to around £3000 in the VIP

The Box Entry Fee

The Box entry fees start at £20 although complimentary Box guestlist entry is sometimes permitted depending on the night. Table bookings are strongly recommended.

The Box Table Prices

The Box table prices differ depending on the night of the week, the kind of table required and the guy:girl proportion of the gathering. The starting cost is £2500 min spend for groups of up to 5. The Box VIP table prices begin from £5000 min spend for groups of up to 10. In the event that the guy:girl proportion is uneven please get in touch with us to check what might be the table cost for your booking.

If it's just a smaller group i.e. 2 or 3 visitors, it is in some cases conceivable to book a get a Tape table reservation for £2000 min spend, contingent on the night. Once more, this should be a mixed group.

Raffles Nightclub

Raffles was founded in 1967 by restaurateur Peter Evens and was named after Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. As soon as it opened it cemented its place in London’s Nightlife, becoming a favorite of the royals such as Princess Margaret, Princess Anne and Prince Charles. However more recently with tough competition it lost its edge, that is until now.

Located in a Chelsea townhouse on the Kings Road, Raffles offers a small and intimate clubbing experience. The staff are also friendly and if you would like table service then ex Maitre D of Tramps in St James, Emilio De Niro will take care of your every request. Tod Russell-Welply, ex Public nightclub promoter and now head of Marketing at Raffles ensures members and guests receive a warm welcome at the door.

At the bar they seem to know what they are doing, with a signature Raffles cocktail list (we recommend the Crackbaby). The prices are a little higher than their competitors, however taking into account the great service, we think this is more than fair.

The décor of the club is quite dark, however there is a retro light up dance floor which looks great and the recently refurbished entrance that features a bookcase with hundreds of copies of “Who’s Who” to show it’s history.

Raffles has been around along time and with the new ownership and management we think raffles is not so much a club, but an institution that everyone should go to once in their lives.

BLC GUESTLIST

Guestlist and Table Bookings

BLC (British Luxury Club)

This after-hours club opens at 3am and is THE hotspot for anyone out in Mayfair and looking for an afterparty. It might not be the cheapest place and only a hand picked crowd of people are allowed the privilege of partying at this beautiful venue - well, otherwise it wouldn't be as popular and exclusive, would it? Once you've made it in, there is great music, a vibrant atmosphere and a cool bunch of people waiting to party with you. So load up your wallet, dress to impress and let's get the (after) party started!

A hush hush launch in late 2007 has attracted high brands to carry parties at the British Luxury Club, the last word in glamour, wealthiness and, well, luxury hence the Name british Luxury Club or BLC for short.

Located on Oxford Street close to Tottenham Court Road station, the British Luxury Club is easy to reach from all the big Mayfair clubs. The building itself isn't attracting much attention at first sight and the entrance might as well be leading into an office - if only there weren't queues of people outside, eager to get in.

To spend a night at the British Luxury Club you either have to be a member or very, very lucky. Usually the bouncers pick people from the crowd outside the club - so be sure you dress to impress if you want a chance to get in. It also helps knowing a member as they can bring guests with them - it's all about the connections.

But if you are lucky enough to get inside, you will soon find yourself in a gorgeous setting and surrounded by beautiful guests. British Luxury Club is open until 7am, so the alcohol is poured all night (uuuhm, more like all morning!). As you would expect, the prices here are not for everyone, but you get what you pay for so grit your teeth and get to it! We promise you, this club is worth every penny spent...

On the inside the club is decorated with gorgeous baroque style furnishing and a huge swarovski crystal screw-topped bar. If you want to take a break from dancing, there are cozy white leather sofas waiting for you, although we are pretty positive you'll constantly be dancing in here. Overall the British Luxury Club has a sparkly blue theme to it and impressive beautiful crystal detailing, which makes it feel like a palace - makes sense, as only the most fortunate Londoners get to party here.

it is a tad confusing how the set up at BLc works are it is solely an afterhours club. once the guests from 55 club have finished then a whole new more upmarket crowd descents on the club deperate to get in and party the night away until 7am.

If you are a group of gents planning on getting into BLC then expect to shell out at least £500 for the privilege as it is very unlikely that you will get in on the guestlist. The boucers simply pick people from the crowd surrounding the entrance and if you're lucky enough to be selected then you will be ushered in straight away.

After dancing to RnB, Charts and Hip Hop in your favorite club, the British Luxury Club is a bit more chilled and cool in terms of music, playing minimal house and techno. Tony Piscitelli - the DJ and music director - is taking care of the sounds blasting trough the speakers and plays you the very best tunes up until the early hours.

BLC Nightclub (BLC) is a James Bond style bar and club with a bar made up entirely of Swarovski crystals. Drinks available include a wide range of champagnes and cocktails and this swanky club is also well known for attracting some of the globes top A-listers.

BLC Nightclub (BLC) has established itself as the number 1 after-party destination in London with DJ and music director Tony Piscitelli providing an eclectic mix of house music to a glamorous crowd – a must visit if you are craving for more partying after a night out in West End!

BLC Nightclub (BLC) has to be one of the West End’s top night clubs! Open until 6am this is a non stop party venue!

If you are a fan of minimal/techno house then The British Luxury Club (BLC) is the place for you. I have spent many an evening (ok morning!!) in this extremely elite venue. Be warned BLC Nightclub it is supposed to be a 'members only’ venue but from what I can see if your face fits then you are a member! So make sure you dress to impress and fill your pockets with a load of cash….. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it!

The British Luxury club is not for everyone - simply because they wouldn't let anyone in. But if you are among the lucky ones that get to party here, you will have an amazing time! Also because it doesn't open until 3am, only the truly party-hungry people unite here - and none of them will sit around, especially not after they've payed the entrance fee! If you're a group of guys and you're not super loaded, you might want to go look for a different club, but otherwise this is an experience you can't miss!
